Save the date! Big Health Day, 11 June 2026

Now in its 18th year, Gloucestershire's Big Health Day returns on Thursday 11 June, 2026!

Big Health Day is a fun and inclusive event for people of all ages with a physical or learning disability, autism, sensory loss, or mental health conditions – and their families and carers. It is an annual event which encourages everyone to participate in sport, physical exercise and social activities and to find out about services and organisations which can provide support. A range of health checks is on offer too.

The Big Health Day is being held at Oxstalls Sports Park, Plock Court, Tewkesbury Road, Gloucester, GL2 9DW and will run from 9.30am to 2pm.

Last year, we welcomed 1,600 attendees, with more than 100 stalls and a dozen inclusive sports and activities including walking football, boccia, spike ball, cycling, tennis and walking rugby. Around 120 volunteers help run the day, including students from Hartpury College and the University of Gloucestershire, making it a truly inclusive and impactful day, and this year, we continue with the focus on staying healthy, active, and connected.
