There are three important changes to the way GP services will be provided in future at Newnham and Westbury Surgery:
Firstly, Dr Timothy Alder has decided to retire in March this year;
secondly it is hoped a new potential provider will take over the Newnham and Westbury GP contract with Dr Lacey continuing to work as a GP; and
thirdly Dr Alder and Dr Lacey have decided to sell the Newnham Surgery building.
Further details and the reasons for these changes are set out in a letter which has been sent to patients registered with the surgery (one letter per household). A 'sample letter' is also included in the links on the left.

The CCG is interested to hear what you think the closure of the Newnham building could mean for you. It is important to know how you think this could have an impact on you and your family, and what could be done to reduce any negative impact.

Thank you for your support for the surgery during these challenging times; together we are looking forward to this new chapter in the surgery’s life and, subject to final agreement, working with new colleagues from G-DOC.
